Hi friends, The following video is still one of my favourites: an invitation to begin a nature journal in 3 simple steps. If you have access to a garden, a city park, a beach, a forest, even a street with trees, birds and plants growing through the cracks or a windowsill, you can start observing nature. No fancy art supplies needed. Or maybe you'd like to start hand sewing this summer (or help your kids learn). Check out my new blog post that walks you through five simple hand-sewing stitches to get you started: Last but not least here's a nice family project which blends painting, storytelling and imaginative play. You could also use painted rocks to label your herb garden, or paint some bright sunny stones to decorate a shelf or windowsill (see my creative tip for the week below). I still have a handful of stones I painted last summer in my office and they make me happy every day I look at them. A Little Creative TipNext time you go to the beach or for a walk in the woods, see if you can find one or two stones which feel good in your hand. You could just leave them as they are or paint them with simple patterns, words or symbols. Then choose a feeling that you want to have this summer. Keep the stones in your pocket, or somewhere in your garden or home. Every time you touch them, or look at them, they can be a reminder to allow yourself to feel this feeling right now. Thanks for being here. I hope your July includes a little time to slow down, and maybe make something with your hands. πΏπΏπΏ You are receiving this email because you are a subscriber to or a customer of The Wild Cherry Farm.
